| Preamble: So, if you notice where this roleplay is located, it is a horror roleplay. Horror/survival to be more specific. I have a grand plan for this, and this is only the first part. I wanted this to be a mystery until now to get good, honest, plain characters thrown into chaos. Hopefully that doesn't bother anyone. Now, this roleplay has an end. I know what it is. In fact, there are multiple endings. In one ending, everyone lives. In another, you all die. I reserve the right to kill your character if I feel it fits the story, but I don't exactly want to. I'm a nice guy, I wanna see you all win, to potentially play the next part even. ((Oooooh, spoilers!)) The rules aren't too fancy. No God-Modding. What I say goes. I won't be too unfair, I promise. If I do something you don't like you can talk to me about it, but most likely I have a reason for it. Use (( )) For OOC chat. ((Like this)) Hopefully we can keep this active, and have lots of fun with it! Now, without further ado, WE BEGIN!!! Prologue: The Story Begins It was a beautiful, sunny spring day in Toronto. People flocked outside to enjoy the heat after a long winter. There were all kinds of people walking downtown, the familiar sounds and smells of Toronto. Really, it was a normal day like any other. Gabby and Jayde were both riding the subway. Each of their destinations were still many stops away. They rode right in the back of the subway, a few seats away from each other. The subway was fairly populated with people, though there seemed to be more at the front. In the last car of the subway, there were only 5 people. Gabby sat near the door, and across the car from her sat a young man, who looked to be about 20, and in peak physical condition. In fact, he looked physically perfect. Like there wasn't an ounce of fat in his body. He had short blonde hair, wearing a tight fitting t-shirt and blue jeans. The guy tried to make it seem like he was looking out the window but Gabby could obviously tell he was looking at her. Jayde sat in the corner of the car, and another young man sat near her. This man looked about the same age, but not nearly as fit. He looked pale, with jet black hair down to his shoulders, covering a part of his face. The man wore a black t-shirt with a band's name and some images of skulls and crows on it, and black skinny jeans. He sat, with one headphone in, looking at his iPod, glancing up occasionally, sometimes at the other man, sometimes at Gabby, but mostly, he looked up to see Jayde, casting inquisitive glances her way. The fourth person in the car was seated farther away from the rest. The man was older, about 35, and looked disheveled. He wore a suit that looked like he'd been wearing it for days or weeks. As he rubbed his face wearily, the bags under his eyes were apparent. As the subway made it's next stop, no one in the back car got off, and the train picked back up, rolling along. | |

| Fidgety. She was so fidgety.
It was her fingers more so than anything. Usually they were carving away at a slab of mineral, fighting desperately to capture the 'angst in her heart' and that good ole artistic nonsense. Or they could have been whirling around on paper, doing drive-by's between curves as she shaded the otter rims of a odd looking t-shirt that would have looked better on paper than in real life. They could have also been flickering across the small, square apps on her phone while she searched the highs and lows of her inventory for some app that would keep her entertained through the ride. Only if her battery wasn't at 82%. Even at a high number like 82, she took her battery seriously and she would not main it just to please her shaking fingers.
Instead, she gave them the chore of running through the curls of her hair, which was surprisingly easy to do. As much hair spray as she was sure to cake her long, mangy curls in, the task was easy and also added pleasure to her own touch. It was as good an entertainment as sculpting, sketching, and texting was, so there was no room to complain. A whirl of colors breezed by before her eyes at the strangely high speed the subway was moving at. At first, she didn't believe there could be a lot of colors when one was underground, but she was surprised for sure. Fingers tangled in a lock of honey brown hair, she watched and speculated the blur and how it would look on paper. Her art would be abstract, a retraction of the mind with a desperate attempt to be thrown out for all the world to see. The complete opposite of herself.
"Pale blue, almost turquoise..."she heard herself whisper in a breath that hung above her pink lips. Paying no mind to the ones beside her, she drifted off into her thoughts with her fingers still trapped in her hair, painting the image that she wanted to do on her easel in her mind instead, if only to make the time go by.

| She was listening to her ipod with one earbud in. Today she chose her pink ones. She had just moved to Toronto and boarded a train promptly. She preferred the back but now she rolled her eyes seeing the people surrounding her. She sighed softly and made a point to avoid eye contact with the young man who kept looking at her. She pulled her bag a little closer to herself as she placed the other earbud in her ear. Totally immersed in her music, she relaxed. | |

| After one stop, he two young men shared a brief look, then looked back to the girls before both standing, moving closer to the doors, using the standing room. The blond haired man tilted his head at the other, and the black haired man nodded in response. The two did not speak, and instead looked forward, keepng a good grip on the rail. The older man on the train looked at the two inquisitively before seemingly realizing something. He hung his head and quietly began muttering to himself.
As the train started to roll around a corner, the lights began to flicker.

| She looked up and briefly studied the two men who had moved. She looked around and at the lights, not thinking too much of it. For the first time since she boarded the train, she took in her surroundings. She rolled her eyes at the girl playing with her hair, tagging her as one of "those girls" from high school. She glanced at the older man, and decided to ignore him. His muttering annoyed her. The two men standing puzzled her. She didn't think they knew each other, but were standing unusually close for strangers. Her interest soon was lost though and she went back to her music but turned the volume down so as not to miss anything. | |

| At the slightest flicker of the lights, her honey brown eyes went up, staring at the flashing for a brief moment. Odd. Subways were always generated with power and if they didn't have that said power, they also had a back up generator to restore as much as was needed until all of the people got to their destination. It didn't add up to why this particular one was having electrical problems. She pouted more than frowned, her lips pursing together while she weighed the pro's and con's in her head. Was their subway going to come to an abrupt stop on the rails? Will they all be blown sky high due to a short circuit in one of the frigates below?
In the end, she gave up guessing scenarios and tucked the lights under a new work of art. 'Flickering Frigates', it would be called. It would most likely not sell as much, but art is art.
Gabby looked to her left and noticed the blonde haired man for the first time. It wasn't a shocker since people didn't notice her until she spoke up and said something, and apparently it was the case with this boy as well. He looked ahead of him at nothing, just staring wistfully into the atmosphere above him. Odd. Not attempting to be stereotypical in the least, she pegged those kinds of overly attractive boys as the ones who were always doing something: listening to music, scrolling on a phone, playing with a jacket zipper. This boy just sat and did absolutely nothing.
Gabby stared at him for some time before finally nodding to herself more than anything. Just another work of art.

| Suddenly, without warning, the car jerked, sending everyone flying forward. In a murderous crescendo of schreeching steel, the car began to slow. The screams of the people in the front of the subway were barely audible over the sound of steel over steel. As the car came to a stop, the lights suddenly went out. The entire subway was in complete, suffocating darkness. The sounds of the car stopped as the crash ended, and after, there was silence. Not even the moans of injured passengers. After a few seconds, blood red emergency lights slowly came on, bathing the entire car in dim red light. Looking down the car, only the next two cars were visible around the corner. The only people in sight were Gabby and Jayde. There was no sign of the men, nor any of the people in the cars ahead. As the girls became accustomed to the silence, they heard each other breathing, each of them bathed in ominously dim red light. | |

| She looked over at the girl visible near her. She pulled out her earbuds and looked around. Her breaths were coming in short, rapid successions, matching the other girl's. She wondered what had happened and where everyone went. Naturally, a part of her told her not to care. To turn away. | |

| The faint sound of shuffling could be heard from the direction of the front of the train. Bathed in dim red light, shuffling down the train was a little girl, with wiry jet black hair in front of her face. She wore a light pink dress, with blood all over it. Her left arm hung at an unnatural angle. She slowly shuffled toward the back of the train. | |
