Hey everyone!

I know that this is a little off the topic of video games and role playing, but Layla and Rokku both told me to go ahead and start this. So here it goes.

Like I had mentioned in my introductory, I am a casual writer who like to dabble in different types of stories and genres. And one of them is LGBT(QQIAAP). Most of my LGBT literature is short stories that are based on my own personal experiences as well as the experiences of my friends, family, and others. Some are loosely based, while others are very, very similar to actual events. One of my reasons for being an LGBT writer is because I have always been very disappointed in the small quantity of literature that is out there. So, I feel that I am making a contribution in my small little way.

PostSubject: A Rainbow After Every Storm   BV James LGBT Literature I_icon_minitimeSat Apr 27, 2013 8:11 pm

The first book that I am working on is called A Rainbow After Every Storm.

It is a short story collection that is still currently in the works, but I post them on a site called WattPad. I'll show the links here and if you would like to comment or give feedback, I'd very much appreciate it!

Thanks!

And just a little recommendation. For anyone who is interested in writing, WattPad is a really great community and I suggest it if you have some work you are comfortable putting out there and want some feedback.

This is the first short story I wrote for A Rainbow After Every Storm.

Here's the first few paragraphs, I hope you enjoy:

Taylor woke up to the soft sounds of music resonating from the

radio/alarm clock on his bedside table. He mentally prepared himself

for another day in Arkansas. It would no doubt be as difficult as any

other day preceding it.

He walked over to the closet and looked for some clothes to wear. He

pushed through the clothes his mother placed in the front of the closet,

hoping he would wear them. He finally finished moving the clothes he

hated to the back and found some hand-me-downs his brother had given

to him.

The bathroom was always the first difficult battle of Taylor's day.

He entered the room and looked at his reflection in the mirror. He

began to weep; repulsed by the image he gazed upon. His self-esteem

drained as he desperately searched for the slightest bit of peach fuzz

on his upper lip and chin. However, just like the previous day, his

examination bore the same result.

This is the second short story I wrote for [/i]A Rainbow After Every Storm[/i].

Here's the first few paragraphs, I hope you enjoy:

“Mel, hurry up in there,” Jennie said impatiently as she wanted to

gain access into the only bathroom in their small apartment.

“I know! Just give me a minute, I’m fixing my hair! I have an audition today,”

These were the times Jennie wondered why she agreed to share a tiny

apartment with another female. One bathroom was definitely not big

enough for the both of them.

“Well good for you, Mel. I’m going to be late and lose the job I

already have,” Jennie fired back.

“Okay, okay,” Melissa opened the door and Jennie rushed in.

Jennie and Melissa had been long time friends from a small town in

Indiana. Jennie was an aspiring author and Melissa, an aspiring

actress. A little over a year ago, they decided to pull their funds

together and get an apartment in the Big Apple. New York City was a

dream for both of them and they felt the move would be the key to

success in their respective career fields.
