http://www.wattpad.com/15628679-a-rainbow-after-every-storm-virtual-blindness#.UXxccLVJOAgThis is the second short story I wrote for [/i]A Rainbow After Every Storm[/i].
Here's the first few paragraphs, I hope you enjoy:
“Mel, hurry up in there,” Jennie said impatiently as she wanted to
gain access into the only bathroom in their small apartment.
“I know! Just give me a minute, I’m fixing my hair! I have an audition today,”
These were the times Jennie wondered why she agreed to share a tiny
apartment with another female. One bathroom was definitely not big
enough for the both of them.
“Well good for you, Mel. I’m going to be late and lose the job I
already have,” Jennie fired back.
“Okay, okay,” Melissa opened the door and Jennie rushed in.
Jennie and Melissa had been long time friends from a small town in
Indiana. Jennie was an aspiring author and Melissa, an aspiring
actress. A little over a year ago, they decided to pull their funds
together and get an apartment in the Big Apple. New York City was a
dream for both of them and they felt the move would be the key to
success in their respective career fields.
