One of the best ways to create a scene is to appeal to the senses of a character, all of them, not just sight! The way a place smells, feels, sounds, and in some cases, tastes, can make or break a scene. So, here is my challenge to YOU!

My character is blind. With this knowledge, set up a scene for me being as descriptive as possible. It can be anywhere, any place, and any time period. Go nuts!
